This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled Windows System Administrator to work in a fast-paced environment with leading-edge technology (Microsoft, Red Hat, EMC, NetApp, Citrix, VMware, Chef, Jenkins, Jira, Amazon Web Services) and be part of a dynamic team. The Systems Administrator will use his/her creativity, leadership and in-depth technical expertise to coordinate and execute all activities related to Advent’s managed hosting environments, including automation, installation, configuration, troubleshooting.
Job Responsibilities
· Responsible for implementing, maintaining and operating our Microsoft public and private cloud ecosystems including Active Directory, Windows Server environments
· Support private and public cloud servers, including security strategies, policies and procedures
· Utilize automation and scalability tools such as PowerShell, Chef, Jenkins to increase system and human efficiency
· Work with peers and customers to troubleshoot infrastructure, application, database and network related issues
· Participate in 24x7 escalation/rotation support as part of the larger team
· Coordinate/communicate with various teams on project status/tasks and escalation
· Introduce technologies to enhance the service Advent IT provides
· Excellent understanding of VMware virtualization technologies such as ESX, vCloud, LabManager, VMView and SRM
· FTP and SFTP configuration and troubleshooting
· Enhance application availability and performance
Qualifications Requirements
· 5+ years of professional experience with IT operations supporting Windows servers
· 3+ year working with server virtualization technologies
· Senior Windows administration skills
· Experience with Configuration Management tools for automation and scalability
· Knowledge of load balancing and high availability planning
· Experience with troubleshooting common Microsoft protocols
· Experience running production environments in Amazon Web Services or IAAS is a plus
· Experience supporting a complex end user environment(s)
· Experience working with enterprise applications (CRM, HR, Finance systems)

· Excellent communication skills, written and verbal, including experience with technical documentation
· Strong focus on business outcomes
· Microsoft certifications preferred
